From our Temple
The worship of Shiva was dear to Megha and by arranging the drawing of the Trident and the installation of the Pindi, Baba confirmed his faith therein - Chapter 28, Shri Sai Satcharitra Let us offer our prayers to Bhola Baba as we approach Maha Shivaratri. As one of the Maha Shivratri tale goes - After creation was complete, Parvati asked Lord Shiva which rituals pleased him the most. The Lord replied that the 13th night of the new moon, during the month of Maagha, is his most favourite day. Parvati repeated these words to her friends, from whom the word spread over all creation. Maha Shivratri ("Great Night of Shiva") is a festival celebrated every year on the 13th night/14th day in the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) of the month of Maagha (as per Shalivahana) or Phalguna (as per Vikrama) in the Hindu Calendar (that is, the night before and day of the new moon). Kindly come and have the blessings of Bhola Baba. We would also like to inform our devotees about our new devotee registration webpage http://www.shirdisaila.org/registration.html. Devotees are kindly requested to update their EMAIL and POSTAL MAIL ADDRESS by visiting that page. We use the same to send temple related correspondence and Baba prasadam. We also have our "NEW" temple calendar for year 2010 for our devotees. |
